“Precision isn’t just a word. For the designers of the All New 2014 Corvette Stingray, It was a Mantra.”  Stingray returns.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray harmonies Chevrolet for a perfect come back redefining modern performance. Its balance of technologies, design and performance administers the iconic Stingray designation. It is exotically beautiful (Tom Peter’s handsome exterior, clean lines, improved lighting, a carbon fibre hood and roof), fast, aerodynamic (operational hood vents), technologically innovative (rev management and driving modes), Emsley’s state-of-the-art interior is stunning.

The 2014 Corvette Stingray is the most powerful and most capable standard model ever. It is estimated to deliver 450 horsepower (335 kW) and 450 lb.-ft. of torque (610 Nm) and acceleration from 0-60 in less than four seconds. It attains 1g cornering grip. EPA-estimated 26 mpg of the current model makes it the most fuel efficient Corvette.

With the previous generation Stingray, all new Corvette Stingray shares only two parts. New frame structure and chassis, a new powertrain technology and breath taking exteriors & interior design.

Ø  Interior includes carbon fibre, aluminium and hand wrapped leather materials. Seats have choices each with light weight magnesium frame. Dual eight inch information screen for driver.

Ø  Advanced five-position Drive Mode Selector fits 12 vehicle attributes for drivers environment and a new seven-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching that matches engine speed with the transmission anticipating gear shift which enables perfect shifts every time.

Ø  New 6.2L LT1 V-8 engine with direct injection, Active Fuel Management, continuously variable valve timing and an advanced combustion system which marks better fuel efficiency.

Ø  Hood and removable roof panel with carbon fiber; fenders, doors and rear quarter panels with composites; underbody panels with carbon-nano composite are purposefully done for light weight. Achieving 50-50 weight balance shifting weight rearward by New aluminium frame empowers it to reach world class power to weight ratio.

New Aluminium Frame designed and developed in-house at  GM's Bowling Green, Ky.

Ø  A sculptured exterior features advanced high-intensity discharge and light-emitting diode lighting and racing-proven aerodynamics that balance low drag for efficiency and performance elements for improved stability and track capability

Ø  Track-capable Z51 Performance Package including: an electronic limited-slip differential, dry-sump oiling system, integral brake, differential and transmission cooling, as well as a unique aero package that further improves high-speed stability.

The new Corvette Stingray will be erected at GM’s Bowling Green, Ky., assembly plant, which underwent a $131-million upgrade, including approximately $52 million for a new body shop to manufacture the aluminium frame in-house for the first time.
