THE HORIZON TASK FORCE
The story of
Infiniti begins with the formation of a top-secret
task force within Nissan. Its mission: to create a new performance
luxury brand to compete with the big U.S. and European luxury
brands in the American market. Its expansive vision embraces
a new luxury automobile ethic that includes not just
vehicles, but the entire purchase and ownership process.

Intelligent enough
to help warn you if you drift out of your lane. The Infiniti FX was the first
automobile equipped with this intelligent active technology. A discreet

BLIND SPOT INTERVENTION™
SYSTEM (BSI)
An industry first innovation that helps you detect and avoid
vehicles in the blind spot area. The world’s first Blind Spot Intervention™ system
uses sensors to help alert you to a vehicle detected in your blind spot and
helps you avoid it. First, a visual warning appears if another vehicle enters
your blind spot in an adjacent lane. Then, an audible warning will sound if
you begin moving towards the occupied lane, and the system will apply
opposite-side brakes to help you guide your vehicle back to the center of
your current driving lane.

BACK-UP COLLISION INTERVENTION
Back-Up Collision Intervention is a world's-first technology
that intelligently senses what the driver may miss, to help protect from a
potential collision when backing up. When in reverse, the system detects
crossing traffic as well as large stationary objects behind you. When an
approaching vehicle is detected you will hear an audible alert and see a
flashing light indicating its oncoming direction. The brakes will then
automatically engage to help avoid a collision. Back-Up Collision
Intervention. Another world's-first technology from Infiniti that helps you
get on your way safely.
